హ్యాప్పీ డే(స్) - పార్ట్ 2

సాయంత్రం సోమాజిగూడ సర్కిల్ లో పని ఉండటంతో అక్కడికి వెళ్లిన నేను ఇంత దూరం వచ్చాక, IMAX కి వెళ్లకపోతే వెధవ మనసు ఊరుకోదే అనుకుని, చల్లని గాలి వీస్తుండగా, నాకు చాలా ఇష్టమైన రాజ్ భవన్ రోడ్డు మీదుగా అటువైపు ప్రయాణం సాగించా. ఒక వేళ హ్యాప్పీ డేస్ 7.30 షో కి రిజర్వ్ చేసుకున్న వాళ్లు తీసుకోకుండా మిగిలిపోయిన టికెట్స్ ఏవైనా దొరుకుతాయేమో ట్రై చేద్దాం అనే (దుర్) ఆశ లోపల కళ్ళెం లేని గుర్రం లా పరుగులు తీస్తుంది లెండి. దురాశ దుఖ్కానికి చేటు అని అన్నారు కదా అని, అలా ఏమైనా జరిగిందేమో అనుకునేరు ... నో, నో, అలాంటి scene ఎమీ జరగలేదు అద్రుష్టవశాత్తూ. సినిమా రిలీస్ అయిన పదమూడో రోజు ఈ పోస్ట్ రాస్తున్న సమయానికి కూడా మా పక్క క్యుబికల్ లో వాళ్లు ఫస్ట్ టైం చూడటం కోసం కుస్తీలు పడుతుంటే, మరి అదే రోజు, అదీ ఈవెనింగ్ షో కి టికెట్స్ కొట్టేద్దాం అనుకోవడం దురాశ కాదా? :-) . కౌంటర్ దగ్గరికి వెళ్లి, డౌట్ ఫుల్ గా, "హ్యప్పీ డే.....స్...." అంటూ పూర్తి చేసే లోపే, "No" came straight the answer కౌంటర్ లో ఉన్న వ్యక్తి నుంచి. టికెట్స్ దొరకకపోతే పోయాయ్ గానీ, IMAX మాత్రం మ్యాక్జిమం colourful :-P గా వుంది. I think this is what's called "The God's game of Balancing" అనుకున్నా :-). కళ్లు, కాళ్లు అలసిపోయేదాకా, టికెట్స్ దొరకలేదనే కోపం పోయేదాక పైకి క్రిందికి, లోపలికి బయటకి తిరిగి, 'ఎవ్వరూ తప్పించుకోలేదు ... హా ... హా ... హా ...' అని విలన్ లా ఓ నవ్వు నవ్వుకుని, తిరుగు ప్రయాణం మొదలు పెట్టాను. రోడ్ దాటబోతూ, ఎందుకో తల వెనక్కి తిప్పి చూసా, ఏంటి నక్షత్రాలు ఇంత కిందికి వచ్చేసాయ్ ?!?!? అనిపించింది ఒక్క క్షణం. అవును, IMAX బయటి స్టెప్స్ మీద అందరూ లైన్లు లైన్లు గా నించుని చూస్తున్నారు with their mouths wide open and their eyes glowing like bright twinkling stars. ఏవరా అని చూస్తే, ఇంకేముంది? శేఖర్ కమ్ముల and the Star Cast of the movie. 0.157 seconds లో వెనక్కి తిరిగి పరుగు తీసాను to be part of the spell bound crowd. కొంతమంది అయితే శేఖర్, హీరోస్ అంద్ హీరోయిన్స్ దగ్గరికి వెళ్లి కంగ్రాట్స్ చెప్పి, ఫోటోలు దిగేస్తున్నారు "భలే ఛాన్సు లే, లక్కీ ఛాన్సు లే" అన్నట్టు. "Come on Venky ఏంటి చూస్తున్నావ్? రెచ్చిపో" అని లొపల చిన్న spike. సినిమా చూస్తున్నప్పుడు అనిపించింది, ఛాన్స్ వస్తే రాజేష్ తో తప్పకుండా మాట్లాడాలి అని. గాగుల్స్ తీసేసి గూగుల్ చేసా ఆ "టపోరిగాడు" కోసం. సడన్ గా కనిపించాడు తను. Headed straight to him, Extended my hand and said: Me: కంగ్రాట్స్ అండి, చాలా బాగా చేసారు
He: ఓహ్, థాంక్యూ... ఇప్పుడే చూసి వస్తున్నారా?
Me: లేదు లేదు, మార్నింగే చూసేసా...ఫస్ట్ డే ఫస్ట్ షో..ఫస్ట్ టైం ఇన్ లైఫ్, వేరే ఎప్పుడూ, దేనికీ ఇలా ట్రై చెయ్యలేదు..
He: ఓహ్, థాంక్యూ సో మచ్ అండీ, మ్మ్..అందరూ ఎంజాయ్ చేస్తున్నారు కదా?? (డౌట్ ఫుల్ గా అడిగాడు )
Me: ఒక రేంజ్ లో....... mmm, సినిమా లో కంటే సన్నం అయినట్టున్నారు ?!?!
He: యా, యా, డైటింగ్ ఈ మధ్య (విథ్ స్మిలె)..అంతలో అతనికి కాల్ రావటం తో,...."Excuse me, కాల్ వస్తుంది...Bye" అని చెప్పి వెళ్లిపోయాడు..

పక్కనే అప్పు. ఒక గ్రూప్ నా కంటే ముందు ఇవ్వబొతే చూసా, హ్యాండ్ షేక్ చెయ్యటానికి కొంచెం ఇబ్బంది గా ఫీల్ అవుతున్నట్టుంది, సో, తెలివిగా :-P, "Hi ఆప్పు, ఛాలా బాగా చేసారండీ" అని చెప్పా, hand extend చెయ్యకుండా. "థాంక్యూ వెరీ మచ్ అండీ " అంది నవ్వుతూ....

ఛందు - ఫస్ట్ హీరో, మాంచి స్టైలిష్ గా వున్నాడు..న్యూయార్క్ నగరం కుర్రోడు కదామరి అనిపించేట్టు. Sangeeta was scintillating, మెరిసి పోతోంది తను అసలు. వంశీ కూడా బావున్నాడు...స్మార్ట్ గా..స్మైలింగ్ తో....సినిమా లో డల్ క్యారెక్టర్ కి భిన్నం గా. టైసన్ గర్ల్ స్క్రీన్ మీద లానే వుంది రింగుల రింగుల హెయిర్ తో. :-) . వాళ్లు అందరూ వెళ్లిపోయే తొందరలో ఉండటంతో ఇక మిగతా వాళ్లతో మాట్లాడే అవకాశం దొరకలేదు. :-(.

వస్తున్నా,వస్తున్నా అక్కడికే వస్తున్నా :-). దానికి ముందు మాత్రం, అచ్చ తెలుగు అభిమానులందరికీ స్వచ్ఛమైన సారీ తో, ఇక ఆంగ్లం లో : I'll keep it very short. The movie is a beautiful narration of college life. Every one (most of the viewers) can identify himself/ herself with one of the characters in the movie and that's the secret behind everyone going ga ga over Happy days. Haven't you ever thought? "How nice it would be if I can capture this as a scene in movie?" at some or other point of your life about some or the other incident? On top of a grippy script, the melodious music by Mickey makes the movie all the more lovable to watch. The background score in a lot of scenes hightens the feel, thus makes them more interesting and impressive. All the pairs in the movie have their own significance and no character is overcast by the other. There's always a risk of messing up when so many characters are around, but Sekhar scores, once again, full points in using them all very effectively to depict various elements of college life: Fun, Friendship, Villainism, Sacrifice, Selfishness, Romance, Love, break up, faith, heart breaks, and what not??? All the boyz and galz in the movie should certainly be applauded for acting,rather "behaving" (as in Sekhar's words), so well. I was thinking that they might not have had any difficulty in acting in the movie coz, I thought thats how they are outside too. But, when I saw them, I came to know I was wrong. Especially, Vamsi. The co-ordination of Background score and some key dialogues is excellent and stamps those scenes more strongly in viewer's minds. "Aa rendoo oka chota vundalev Shraavs", "Mee hair enduku alaa ringulu ringlu gaa vundi? ....Can I touch it?" etc to name a few. Every one got good situations to perform. Chandu with Tamanna, Rajesh with the English teacher (his action is very funny .... hahaha) and also Appu (rey appu, arey appu gaa, manam pelli chesukundam raa) (hahahahaa) Tyson with Sravanthi. The songs and the scenes mix up so well that you would feel sometime later - "hey, is that song over???". Now, as they say, no coin can have just one side, the negetive points - A few scenes are sans background score because of which you tend to feel like a scene in a art movie / documentary :-). The songs though picturized quite well, it seemed like there's still scope for improvement. Some felt like the movie is a bit slow paced. But then you would notice all this only when you watch it like a devil's advocate. Otherwise Happy Days is a movie you would want to watch, and you would love to remember and recollect. To summarize, for youngsters in the beginning of their college life, its a kaleidoscopic view of their future. For those in the end, its their story. For those who have finished, its a beautiful re-discovery of their past, a pleasant journey back into the time.

కనీసం, రివ్యూ ని భయంకరమైన ఒకాబులరీ తో బాగా రాయడం కోసం ఐనా GRE రాయాలి అని, తెలుగులో బాగా వర్ణించగలగడం కోసం M.A.(తెలుగు) చెయ్యాలని మాత్రం నేను తెగ ఫీల్ అయ్యా !! :-).
